European Nucleotide Archive (ENA) and European Genome-phenome Archive (EGA) share some of the interfaces and services. Metadata associated to the archived files is usually submitted via Webin, a well-known tool among both ENA and EGA submitters. The information registered in Webin is internally translated into XML files, which can be ultimately used for potential users of the data.
