The European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) is a project funded by the European Commission in order to set up a virtual an open environment for storage, management, analysis and re-use of research data.
EOSC aims at providing a comprehensive set of services which will ensure that all the results of research projects can be archived, analysed, published and preserved. All these results will be subject to the FAIR principles so these can be discovered, accessed, used and reused.

The EGA is actively involved in the initial phase of the EOSC development: the recently triggered (EOSCpilot project). The main role of this specific phase is to develop evidence-based solutions, by using a number of Science Demonstrators, to show the usefulness of the provided services. Further impediments and challenges will be discovered during this exploration, which will determine the necessary solutions. Hopefully, community consensus and a clear roadmap will be built as a result of the EOSCpilot project.

We are proud to announce that the EGA is leading a project within the 2nd Call of Scientific Demonstrators of the EOSCpilot. The main goal of this project is to increase reproducibility of data deposited at EGA by linking them to the pipelines used to generate or analyze such data.
