Whole Exome Sequencing
The objective of this study was to better understand the molecular changes occurring in tumors during development of ICB (immune checkpoint blockade) resistance. Here, we performed Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on biopsies from a cohort of melanoma patients after progression on anti-CTLA4 or anti-PD1 monotherapy and matched normal samples. Genetic alterations of antigen presentation and interferon gamma signaling pathways were observed in approximately 25% of ICB resistant cases.
