Low intratumoral macrophage infiltration is a consistent immune microenvironment predictor of poor outcome in lymphoma patients treated with R-CHOP but not Pola-R-CHP
The lymphoma microenvironment is a key contributor to treatment efficacy and a focus of active investigation. Yet, the adaptive interplay between immune infiltrates, malignant cells and treatment outcomes remains incompletely understood. Currently, little is known about how lymphoma cellular and functional heterogeneity may influence outcomes in patients treated with antibody drug conjugates (ADC), designed for lymphoma-targeted delivery of cytotoxic agents. Here, we evaluated the association of lymphoma immune microenvironment with treatment outcomes using tissue biopsies from 1,279 diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) patients treated with anti-CD20+chemo or Pola-R-CHP as front line therapies.
