Circulating mRNA and miRNA signatures predicting response to lifestyle intervention in pediatric obesity
This study aims to identify circulating transcriptomic biomarkers predictive of response to lifestyle intervention in pediatric obesity. Peripheral blood whole-transcriptome RNA sequencing and microRNA sequencing were performed in a subset of children and adolescents with obesity participating in a prospective 12-month multicenter lifestyle modification program. The generated data are linked to detailed demographic, clinical, anthropometric, biochemical, and treatment outcome variables. These resources support investigations of molecular pathways underlying obesity, treatment responsiveness, and precision medicine approaches in pediatric obesity management.
