Sex-specific molecular signatures in persistent pain after whiplash injury

We conducted whole-blood RNA-sequencing at 6 months post-injury in individuals with WAD grade II (WADII)—the most common clinical presentation, characterised by neck pain and restricted movement without frank neurological signs—to compare transcriptional profiles between recovery groups (persistent moderate/severe vs minimal symptoms).
