Essential tremor blood transcriptional variation and its association with clinical and neuroimaging phenotypes
We performed whole-blood RNA-sequencing, brain MRI and clinical assessments for a cohort of essential tremor patients and controls. Both groups were cognitively unimpaired. The ET group had substantial motor and functional impairment with a mean disease duration of 7.8 years. In this project, we aimed to compare essential tremor and control groups on whole blood transcriptomic data, and within the essential tremor group, to test the correlation of transcriptional variation with key clinical and neuroimaging phenotyes.
