Whole exome sequencing and RNA sequencing of myxoid liposarcoma patients
Myxoid liposarcoma is a rare cancer classified as a soft tissue sarcoma. Although the 5-year survival rate is relatively good at 78-91%, the remaining patients develop distant metastases and show a poor prognosis. More than 90% of cases show fusion gene formation due to chromosomal translocations, but other genetic mutations and genomic abnormalities are not well understood, and the mechanisms responsible for poor prognosis remain unclear. In this study, we performed proteogenomic analysis including whole exome sequencing analysis, RNA sequencing and mass spectrometry-based total proteome and phosphoproteome analysis using surgically resected MLS tumor samples to explore poor prognostic factors in MLS.
