Single Cell, Whole Genome Analysis of the Aging Human Cardiomyocytes
In this study we have sequenced single cardiomyocytes from 12 individuals (ages from 0.4 to 82 yrs.). We have identified and characterized the somatic single-nucleotide variants (sSNVs). Our study indicates that cardiomyocyte sSNVs increased with age with distinctive mutational signatures.
