PYDP Papuan Y chromosome Diversity Panel
The PYDP dataset includes 26 bam files of Y chromosome sequences for Papua New Guinean individuals from different locations, extracted from whole genome sequences. DNA was extrated from saliva samples (Oragen kit). Sequencing libraries were prepared using the TruSeq DNA PCR-Free HT kit. 150 bp paired-end sequencing was performed on the Illumina HiSeq X5 sequencer.

The PYDP data is released for research purposes only. The PYDP dataset includes 26 Y chromosome sequences extracted from whole genome sequences, in BAM format. These are from Papua New Guinean individuals from different locations. DNA was extracted from saliva samples (Oragen kit). Sequencing libraries were prepared using the TruSeq DNA PCR-Free HT kit. 150 bp paired-end sequencing was performed on the Illumina HiSeq X5 sequencer. Data access is granted by the PYDP Data Access committee and Data is released by European Genome-Phenome Archive.
Request to Papua New Guinea Y chromosome Diversity Data Access Committee All research projects must be approved by the PYDP DA committee. of ethical approvals, including documentation from a Papuan New Guinean ethics body, may be necessary for approval to be granted in some cases. In case of approval, signing the Data Access Policy Data released through European Genome-Phenome Archive. Data is to be used for research purposes only (described in Appendix II). Limitations in Appendix I Users must be formally affiliated with an officially recognized Institution. User cannot publicly release PYDP data. All rights of data release remain with the PYDP DA committee. Users can replicate existing studies published by PYDP. Users can conduct new demographic studies which do not compete with ongoing studies by PYDP. User cannot undertake studies of a medical or clinical nature without first seeking the approval PYDP DA committee. User cannot undertake studies for personal use, such as family history research, or perform this research for others. A moratorium on publication until a given date may be a condition of data access and use, primarily in cases where a study proposed by the User with ongoing studies by PYDP.
Studies are experimental investigations of a particular phenomenon, e.g., case-control studies on a particular trait or cancer research projects reporting matching cancer normal genomes from patients.
