UK_ReplicationChip

This dataset includes data from UK Multiple Sclerosis (MS) cases that were recruited through the University of Cambridge and included in the IMSGC Replicationchip experiment. Data from UK controls and additional UK cases that were recruited through other UK centres is available by direct application to those respective centres, as described in the original paper.

This dataset contains genetic data generated from the genotyping of the IMSGC designed "MS Chip". This genotyping array is a customized Illumina Infinium II bead chip.

The consent provided for this dataset allows the data submitted to EGA to only be shared with bone-fide third parties for research related to multiple sclerosis and data sharing will only take place with the approval of the data access committee (IMSGC DAC) appointed by the membership of the IMSGC. The only phenotype data provided with the genotypes are gender, country of origin and affection status (MS or not MS).

Studies are experimental investigations of a particular phenomenon, e.g., case-control studies on a particular trait or cancer research projects reporting matching cancer normal genomes from patients.
