Sutherland Nine Raw Sequencing Data

These Fastq-files contain the raw sequencing output from our two sequencing experiments (Shotgun and Capture). All libraries with "*SG*" refer to Shotgun genomes, while all files containing "*TF*" refer to 1240K capture data.

Access to Sutherland Nine aDNA raw data

Due to the unique situation with named descendants, these genetic data are not open access. In accordance with the informed consent process, access to the new genetic data described here may be possible with permission from the Abraham and Stuurman families in Sutherland. The requirements for application to access the data are: i) A project description and motivation. ii) Main applicant's name, affiliation and short CV detailing the applicant’s scientific qualifications for handling human genetic data. iii) A list of project members who will be given direct access to the data and their names, affiliations and roles in the project. iv) A data protection plan, including details of how access will be limited to the individuals listed in (iii). The decisions include members of the Scientific teams, the UCT repository curator, and representatives of the community.

Studies are experimental investigations of a particular phenomenon, e.g., case-control studies on a particular trait or cancer research projects reporting matching cancer normal genomes from patients.
