Data access and use policy for 3' mRNA-Seq raw data of human kidney tubuloids
1. Eligibility Requirements Access to the raw data is managed by the data access commitee (DAC), Prof. Dr. Marieta I. Toma and Prof. Dr. Dagmar Wachten, University of Bonn/University Hospital Bonn. Data access is restricted to researchers affiliated with academic, clinical, governmental, or non-profit research institutions recognized by the DAC. Commercial use is prohibited unless previously approved by the DAC in written form. 2. Application Requirements All applicants must provide the following information to request access to the data: - Full name - Institutional affiliation - Purpose of use/Short description of project Access to the dataset will only be granted after formal review of the proposed research and unanimous approval by the DAC. 3. Conditions of Data Use Approved users must: - Use the data solely for the approved research project - Not attempt to re-identify research participants - Not share the data with unauthorized individuals - Not redistribute the data - Implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data security - Report any data breaches or unauthorized use immediately to the DAC and the appropriate local institutional authorities Data use is limited to approved health or biomedical research only. Use for population origins or ancestry research is prohibited. Any proposed change to the research project, including changes in personnel or institutional affiliation, must be submitted to the DAC for review and approval. 4. Citation and Acknowlegement Users must acknowledge the dataset, the study investigators, and contributors in any publications or presentations resulting from the use of the data. Please describe how the data can be accessed, including the name of the hosting database and the accession number, and cite the associated publication: Rohe, J., Ashraf, A.P.K., Kehl, M., Thielmann, X., Ellinger, J., Kristiansen, G., Wachten, D., Toma, M.I. (2026). Modelling kidney cystogenesis using human kidney tubuloid cultures. BMC Molecular and Cell Biology, 5. Revocation of Access The DAC reserves the right to revoke data access in cases of: - Policy violations - Breach of the Data Access Agreement - Misuse of data - Non-compliance with applicable regulations
Studies are experimental investigations of a particular phenomenon, e.g., case-control studies on a particular trait or cancer research projects reporting matching cancer normal genomes from patients.
