Processed Gene-Level Expression Counts from 137 Bladder Cancer QuantSeq 3′ RNA-seq Samples
This controlled-access dataset contains processed gene-level expression counts generated from 137 bladder cancer tumor samples collected from 112 patients. Gene expression quantification was performed using the nf-core/rnaseq workflow with Salmon, and transcript-level abundance estimates were aggregated to gene-level counts. Access is governed by the Bladder Cancer Genomics Data Access Committee (DAC) and the associated controlled-access policy.

Controlled Access Policy for Bladder Cancer Genomic and Clinical Data – Erlangen–Bonn Collaboration
This policy governs access to controlled-access human genomic and associated clinical datasets generated through the collaborative bladder cancer research program between Universitätsklinikum Erlangen and Universitätsklinikum Bonn, and deposited in the European Genome-phenome Archive (EGA). Access to these datasets is strictly controlled and is not granted automatically. Data access requests are considered only from qualified researchers conducting scientifically and ethically justified research that is consistent with the informed consent provided by study participants, applicable ethical approvals, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Each application is reviewed individually by the Bladder Cancer Genomics Data Access Committee (DAC). Applicants must provide a detailed description of the proposed research project, the intended use of the requested data, the investigators involved, institutional affiliation, funding source where applicable, and any required ethical or regulatory approvals. The DAC may request additional information or clarification before reaching a decision. Access is granted solely to the approved investigators for the specific research project authorized by the DAC. Any new research purpose, extension of the approved project, addition of new investigators, or request for additional datasets requires submission of a new or amended application for DAC review and approval. Redistribution, transfer, sharing, or disclosure of the data to any third party is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization from the DAC. Approved users are responsible for implementing appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect participant confidentiality and for complying with all applicable legal, ethical, institutional, and data protection requirements. Commercial use of the data, including research and development conducted by or on behalf of commercial entities, is not permitted unless explicitly approved by the DAC and demonstrably consistent with the participants' informed consent, applicable ethical approvals, and institutional policies. The DAC reserves the right to approve, request modifications to, or decline any application that is considered incompatible with participant consent, ethical approvals, institutional policies, applicable data protection regulations, or the objectives of the proposed research.
