  Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) of CLL patients were isolated by density-gradient centrifugation over Linfosep (Biomedics, Madrid, Spain). B cells were purified with a CD19+ magnetic-bead system (MidiMACS, Miltenyi Biotec, Bergish Gladbash, Germany) according to the manufacturers’ instructions.
