Cell types of the human retina and its organoids at single-cell resolution. Cowan et al
Human organoids recapitulating the cell-type diversity and function of their target organ are valuable for basic and translational research. We developed light-sensitive human retinal organoids with multiple nuclear and synaptic layers, and functional synapses. We sequenced the RNA of 285,441 single cells from these organoids at seven developmental time points and from the periphery, fovea, pigment epithelium and choroid of light-responsive adult human retinas.

DATA ACCESS AGREEMENT for Non-Profit Research Organizations This Agreement is made and is effective 1st of January 2021 between: Institute of Molecular and Clinical Ophthalmology Basel Mittlere Strasse 91 CH-4031 Basel (the Data Controller) and John Smith, MD PhD (the User) and Department of Ophthalmology School of Medicine The University of (the User Institution) This Agreement governs the terms on which access will be granted to the genotype data (generated by the Data Controller). In signing this agreement, the User and User-Institution are agreeing to be bound by the terms and conditions of access set out in this Agreement. I. Definitions: Data means all human genetic data from study ID EGAS00001004561 of the Data Controller User may access from the data base of the European Genome-phenome Archive (EGA). Data Controller means a natural or legal person which determines the purposes for which and the means by which the Data is processed.
