Request Access

The Data Access Policy for single cell genomic sequencing data.

Data access policy for Research Use of Controlled-Access Data The data access committee (DAC) will grant access to the controlled-access datasets store in EGA archive to investigators after requesting access if the investigators agree to fulfil the following condition in terms of using the controlled-access dataset: • Use of the data is only approved for research purposes; • The investigator will not attempt any procedures that would endanger the confidentiality of the data; • The investigator will not attempt to identify individual participants who contributed to the datasets; • The investigator will not share data with third parties that were not granted access to the data; • The investigator will not sell any part of the data obtained; • The investigator will follow all appropriate and applicable national and state laws and regulation as well as any relevant institutional policies for handling sensitive genomic data; • To obtain the dataset, the investigator will submit a summary of research use along with the investigator’s name and affiliation. The investigator(s) who have conducted the original study and the Ethical committee of their institute will decide about granting access to the dataset; • The investigator will report a violation of any of the agreed controlled-access data policies as soon as it is discovered; • In case of use of the data in oral or written presentations or publications, the investigator will inform and acknowledge the investigator(s) who have conducted the original study and the EGA accession number • The investigator will follow best security practices to ensure the security of the data and prevents its release to unauthorized individuals.

Studies are experimental investigations of a particular phenomenon, e.g., case-control studies on a particular trait or cancer research projects reporting matching cancer normal genomes from patients.
