Single-nucleus RNA-seq of human fetal membranes across gestation (Parse Biosciences)
This dataset contains raw single-nucleus RNA sequencing (snRNA-seq) data and associated metadata from human fetal membrane samples collected across gestation. Amnion and chorion tissues were obtained from pregnancies spanning midterm to term, including both healthy and preeclampsia cases. Nuclei were isolated from frozen tissue, fixed, and processed using the Parse Biosciences Evercode WT platform for combinatorial barcoding–based library preparation. Libraries were sequenced to generate transcriptome-wide gene expression profiles. Due to the multiplexed experimental design, sequencing data are provided as pooled FASTQ files. Individual biological samples are registered separately, and a mapping file is included to describe the relationship between samples, sequencing runs, and the pooled libraries. Additional metadata files provide sample-level annotations, including tissue type (amnion or chorion), gestational stage, donor identifier, sex, and clinical condition

Controlled Access Policy for Human Fetal Membrane snRNA-seq Dataset
Policy Content Access to this dataset is controlled by the Data Access Committee (DAC). The dataset contains controlled-access human genomic data generated from single-nucleus RNA sequencing (snRNA-seq) of fetal membrane tissues collected during mid-gestation and term pregnancies. Access will be granted to qualified researchers for bona fide scientific research purposes, subject to review and approval by the DAC and compliance with the Data Access Agreement (DAA). Applicants must provide a description of the proposed research project and agree to the conditions governing data use, storage, confidentiality, and publication. The data may only be used for research purposes consistent with the informed consent provided by participants and the ethical approvals governing the study. Users must not attempt to identify or re-identify research participants in any way. In particular, attempts to infer the identity of donors through genomic variation (e.g., SNP analysis or comparison with external genomic datasets) are strictly prohibited. Approved users must ensure that the data are stored securely and accessed only by authorised personnel within the requesting institution. Redistribution of the data to third parties is not permitted without prior approval from the DAC. Where possible and scientifically appropriate, users are encouraged to work with the processed and aligned datasets provided (e.g., gene expression matrices or processed objects such as Seurat objects), rather than raw sequencing files, in order to minimise unnecessary handling of raw human genomic sequencing data. Publications resulting from the use of these data must acknowledge the original study and comply with the publication policy defined in the Data Access Agreement.
Studies are experimental investigations of a particular phenomenon, e.g., case-control studies on a particular trait or cancer research projects reporting matching cancer normal genomes from patients.
