Long-read whole-genome and Hi-C sequencing of 19 Korean individuals for the Korean Pangenome Reference
PacBio Revio HiFi long reads, Oxford Nanopore PromethION long reads, and Hi-C (Dovetail Omni-C, Illumina NovaSeq X) generated from 19 Korean individuals to construct the Korean Pangenome Reference (KPR). Twelve individuals were sequenced on PacBio Revio and seven on Oxford Nanopore PromethION; Hi-C data are available for two of the Revio-sequenced individuals, one of whom was also sequenced on PromethION. 22 runs in total.

Korean Pangenome Reference (KPR) Data Access Policy
The KRIBB Genomic Medicine Research Center Data Access Committee (DAC) oversees access to and use of the genomic data generated for the Korean Pangenome Reference (KPR). These data comprise long-read whole-genome sequencing on the PacBio Revio and Oxford Nanopore PromethION platforms, together with Hi-C data, from 19 Korean individuals. Access is restricted to researchers conducting non-commercial, academic studies in health-related, biomedical or population-genomic research, including the development and benchmarking of analytical methods, consistent with the informed consent given by the research participants and with the approvals of the Institutional Review Boards of Chungnam National University Hospital (CNUH 2019-06-034) and Chungbuk National University Hospital (KRIBB P01-202503-02-002; CBNUH 2025-07-011). Applicants must submit a detailed research proposal, institutional ethics approval (IRB), and evidence of relevant expertise, and the applicant's institution must sign the Data Access Agreement before access is granted. All data accessed under this policy must be stored in secure environments, must not be shared with unauthorized third parties, and must not be used to identify individual research participants or their relatives, nor for forensic, law-enforcement, insurance, employment or marketing purposes. The data are provided strictly for the approved research project; any further use requires additional DAC approval. A publication moratorium applies: submission for publication should not occur until 12 months after these data were first made available, unless KRIBB has provided written consent to earlier submission. Results derived from these data must acknowledge the source study and cite the EGA study and dataset accession numbers. For inquiries or to request access, contact Jae-Yoon Kim (jaeyoonkim@kribb.re.kr).
Studies are experimental investigations of a particular phenomenon, e.g., case-control studies on a particular trait or cancer research projects reporting matching cancer normal genomes from patients.
