OXTR and AVPR1A Genotypes with Empathy and Dark Triad Phenotypes
This controlled-access dataset contains linked genotype and behavioral phenotype data from 506 participants in a non-clinical human sample. Genetic data include OXTR rs53576 and rs2254298 genotypes generated using TaqMan assays and AVPR1A RS1 and RS3 microsatellite allele lengths and derived genotype groupings obtained by capillary electrophoresis. Behavioral data include age, biological sex, sample group, Interpersonal Reactivity Index scores, and Short Dark Triad scores. The dataset comprises two tab-delimited files linked to the same 506 EGA samples.

Controlled Access Policy for OXTR, AVPR1A and Behavioural Phenotype Data
This policy governs access to coded and de-identified human genetic and behavioural phenotype data obtained from non-clinical research participants. The informed consent permits the questionnaire information and saliva-derived genetic data to be used in the original project and in future scientific studies, exclusively for scientific purposes. Access requests will be reviewed by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid Human Behavioural Genetics Data Access Committee. Applicants must provide a scientifically justified research proposal, identify their institutional affiliation, describe the data requested and explain the safeguards that will be used to protect the data. Approved users must use the data only for the research project authorized by the Data Access Committee. Users must not attempt to identify or contact participants, link the data to direct identifiers, redistribute the data or provide access to unauthorized third parties. Data must be stored and processed using appropriate technical and organizational security measures. Research results must be reported in a form that does not permit participant identification. Publications and other outputs must acknowledge the data source and the corresponding European Genome-phenome Archive accession. Access may be withdrawn if these conditions or the approved research purpose are breached.
Studies are experimental investigations of a particular phenomenon, e.g., case-control studies on a particular trait or cancer research projects reporting matching cancer normal genomes from patients.
