• Discovery of genetic factors associated with thiopurine-induced severe adverse events

  Despite NUDT15 variants showing significant association with thiopurine-induced adverse events (AEs) in Asians, it remains unclear whether additional genetic variants should be tested to predict AEs. To clarify it, we performed a genome-wide association study to discover additional variants associated with thiopurine-induced severe AEs, alopecia and leukopenia. GWASs of these AEs were performed with 1221 Japanese patients with inflammatory bowel disease using population-optimized genotyping array and imputation.

  Neuroblastoma exhibits significant inter- and intra-tumour genetic heterogeneity and varying clinical outcomes. Here, we used DNA and RNA sequencing from the same single cells in cell lines and neuroblastoma patients to investigate these effects.   This study presents whole exome sequencing data from Zimbabwean individuals with suspected Mendelian disorders, including sickle cell disease, Fanconi anemia, haemophilia, and muscular dystrophy. The dataset includes both affected individuals and family members to support inheritance-based analyses. Variant calling was performed using the Illumina DRAGEN pipeline, with downstream variant prioritisation and interpretation conducted using the Zi-Mendelian bioinformatics pipeline.   This study aims to identify metagenomics biomarkers in colorectal cancer (CRC). The study includes 156 samples of shot-gun stool metagenomics, corresponding to 51 patients with CRC, 54 patients with high-risk adenoma, and 51 healthy controls. The sequencing libraries were prepared with 2 µg of total DNA using the Nextera XT DN Sample Prep Kit (Illumina, San Diego, CA, USA). Sequencing was performed at 150 nucleotides, paired-end, using an Illumina HiSeq 4000 platform.
