  Cryopreserved PBMCs from 10 individuals before and after vaccination were used to perform single cell RNA sequencing.   We spiked a small number of placental tissue samples with different combinations of Candida albicans, Plasmodium falciparum, Toxoplasma gondii, Human Cytolomega virus and Salmonella bongori (various combination of the equivalents of 1, 10, 100, 1000 and 10000 genome copies). The first build of the data set includes 728 cancer-free individuals of European descent from three large prospectively sampled studies, 98 African-American individuals from the Prostate, Lung, Colon, and Ovary Cancer Screening Trial (PLCO), 74 Chinese individuals from a Chinese clinical trial in Shanxi, China (SHNX), and 349 unrelated individuals from the HapMap Project (see Molecular Data Section for details on arrays used). The final harmonized dataset includes 2.8 million autosomal polymorphic SNPs on 1,249 subjects after rigorous quality control metrics were applied.

In this context, synthetic genomic and phenotype data can be useful resources for researchers to avoid these delays. Synthetic data are artificially generated datasets, often created with algorithms, which can be used without the need for authorization to test new products and tools, build technical demonstrators, validate data models, and train AI models. The EGA provides access to synthetic cohort datasets augmented with rich synthetic metadata that overcomes these real data usage restrictions. Whilst synthetic datasets are not included in the general EGA mandate and services, we can consider such submissions and evaluate their acceptance on the basis of their unique use cases not already covered by existing synthetic datasets. These proteins function in the same pathway and as such, this may be a new actionable target for lung cancer. We have also examined the landscape of copy number profiles in African Americans and European Americans.
