  This study is designed to assess neurobehavioral performance, as well as molecular and physiological changes associated with variations in timing and quantity of sleep. Gene expression changes associated with neurobehavioral (cognitive) performance were assessed in a time-series among individuals randomly assigned to four separate sleep conditions during a 10-day inpatient study: a well-rested control, sleep restriction with nighttime sleep, sleep restriction with daytime sleep to roughly simulate shiftwork schedules, and total (acute) sleep deprivation.

We conduct unbiased multimodal single-cell and spatial sequencing to capture GBM cells and the surrounding tumor microenvironment using a regional sampling strategy.   A 49 years old female patient consulted for diarrhea, rectal bleeding and lower limbs edema and was diagnosed with systemic AA amyloidosis. An inflammatory hepatocellular adenoma was further identified and resected, resulting in the improvement of amyloidosis-related symptoms. Molecular analyses of the tumor tissue revealed a somatic chromosome rearrangement responsible for interleukin-6 mRNA stabilization leading to an inflammatory acute response with serum amyloid A protein production by both neoplastic and normal hepatocytes.
