  In this study, we performed single-cell transcriptomic profiling of human liver tissues collected from hepatocellular carcinoma and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma patients. A total of seven primary liver cancer patients enrolled in this study. Samples were collected from multiple regions, including tumor core, tumor border and adjacent non-tumor tissue.   Recent studies showed that somatic mutations accumulate in normal tissues with age; however, mutation accumulation in the Helicobacter pylori-uninfected normal gastric mucosa has not been reported. A total of 18 biopsied gastric mucosa were obtained from nine subjects without Helicobacter pylori-infection or gastric cancer. Gastric epithelia were manually dissociated from the lamina propria.   Morphoeic basal cell carcinoma (mBCC) has a high risk of local recurrence compared to the more indolent nodular subtype reflected by a different set of driver mutations including FLNB and HECTD4.
