  The Young Boost Trial (YBT, YOUNG BOOST / BOOG 2004-01 (Borstkanker) | Kanker.nl investigated the optimal radiation dose for breast cancer patients aged 50 years or younger, treated with breast-conserving therapy (BCT). In this randomized study, participants were assigned to receive either a 26 Gy or a 16 Gy radiation boost, with the primary endpoint being local recurrence.   Gastric cancer (GC) remains a significant global health challenge due to its high heterogeneity, with intratumoral heterogeneity (ITH) posing a major obstacle to effective patient outcomes. In this study, utilizing GeoMx Digital Spatial Profiler (DSP) technology, we specifically investigated ITH within GC patients by comparing tumor core regions to tumor edge regions. Our findings indicate that tumor edge regions exhibit more advanced tumor activity, akin to the G2-like progressed state, compared to tumor core regions.   This study evaluates the use of rectal mucus as a minimally invasive biospecimen for colorectal cancer (CRC) detection through whole-genome shotgun metagenomic sequencing. 408 rectal mucus samples were collected from patients suspected to have colorectal cancer and sequenced. These samples were analyzed to characterize microbial community composition and its association with CRC stage and anatomical site. These data provide insights into tumor-proximal microbiome signatures and demonstrate the potential of rectal mucus sampling for early and accurate CRC diagnosis.   This dataset contains whole genome sequencing (WGS) generated from the inoperable cohorts of the LUD2015-005 study (NCT02735239, EudraCT 2015-005298-19). WGS data were generated with the aim to assess previously reported (e.g. tumour mutational burden) and novel predictive genomic markers for immunochemotherapy treatment in this setting. Using these data, mutation and copy number profiles were generated for the LUD2015-005 study, which were assessed for correlation with patient outcomes from this trial.
