• PanCancer genome analysis in 5143 Japanese cancer patients

  This study aimed to establish the Japanese Cancer Genome Atlas (JCGA) using data from fresh frozen tumor tissues obtained from 5143 Japanese cancer patients, including those with colorectal cancer (31.6%), lung cancer (16.5%), gastric cancer (10.8%) and other cancers (41.1%).   This project investigates the genetic basis of therapy resistance in mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) using whole exome sequencing (WES) of the Mino_VEN_R cell line, a model of resistance to pirtobrutinib, a non-covalent BTK inhibitor. Our study suggested that drug-tolerant persister (DTP) cells evade therapy through metabolic and phenotypic reprogramming. By analyzing the exome profile of resistant cells, this study aims to identify mutations associated with treatment escape and cellular plasticity. The findings will contribute to a better understanding of resistance mechanisms and support the development of more effective therapeutic strategies.

  Using the CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing system, various oncogenic mutations were introduced in the genome of normal adult stem cells derived from the colon.   Germline variants may increase the risk of cancer. A systematic analysis was conducted of a consecutive series of primary and secondary adult acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients. • DNA Methylation-based diagnostic biomarkers for ESCC in Han Chinese population

  DNA methylation-based biomarkers were suggested to be promising for early cancer diagnosis. However, DNA methylation-based biomarkers for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), especially in Chinese Han populations have not been identified and evaluated quantitatively. To identify the candidate DNA-methylation based biomarkers for ESCC diagnosis, we performed the targeted bisulfite sequencing analysis in this study.
