  The killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptor (KIR) gene cluster on chromosome 19 encodes cell surface glycoproteins that bind class I human leukocyte antigen (HLA) molecules as well as some other ligands. KIR gene gene copy number variation associates with the outcome of transplantations and susceptibility to immune-mediated diseases. Here we describe a stand-alone and freely available gene content imputation for 12 KIR genes. The models were trained using 818 Finnish biobank samples genotyped for 5774 KIR-region SNPs and analysed for KIR gene content with targeted sequencing.

  Genomic profiling of pediatric myeloid tumors (AML, therapy-related myeloid neoplasms, MDS and others) has shown significant differences when compared adult myeloid neoplasms. This includes the recognition of pediatric-enriched entities including UBTF-TD and NUP98 rearranged leukemias. Collectively we have described over 23 unique molecular subtypes of pediatric AML with unique expression signatures, driver mutations, patterns of cooperating mutations and distinct outcomes.   We generated a large transcriptome atlas of human skeletal muscles by collecting biopsies from 6 different muscles to determine molecular signatures that may be distinct between leg muscles. The biopsies were collected from gracilis (GR), semitendinosus (ST), vastus lateralis (VL), vastus medialis (VM), rectus femoris (RF), and gastrocnemius lateralis (GL) muscles. We also investigated molecular differences within the muscle by including two biopsies from the middle and distal sides of the semitendinosus muscle (STM and STD, respectively).
