  The circadian rhythm of the central brain clock in the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) is synchronized by light. White adipose tissue (WAT) is one of the metabolic endocrine organs containing a molecular clock, and it is synchronized by the SCN; excess WAT is a risk factor for health issues including type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2). We hypothesized that bright-light exposure would affect the human WAT transcriptome. Therefore, we analyzed WAT biopsies from two previously performed randomized cross-over trials (trial 1: lean healthy men, and trial 2: men with obesity and DM2). RNA sequencing results showed major group differences between men with obesity and DM2 and lean healthy men, as well as a differential effect of bright light exposure.

• Identification of potential blood biomarkers for early diagnosis of Alzheimer���s disease through immune landscape analysis

  Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is a clinical precursor of Alzheimer���s disease (AD). Recent genetic studies have reported on associations between AD risk genes and immunity. Here, we obtained samples and data from 317 AD, 432 MCI, and 107 cognitively normal (CN) subjects and investigated immune-cell type composition and immune clonal diversity of T-cell receptor (TRA, TRB, TRG, and TRD) and B-cell receptor (IGH, IGK, and IGL) repertoires through bulk RNA sequencing. Our prognosis prediction model using the potential blood-based biomarkers for early AD diagnosis, which combined two immune repertoires (IGK and TRA), WDR37, and clinical information, successfully classified MCI patients into two groups, low and high, in terms of risk of MCI-to-AD conversion.

  Umbilical cord blood (CB) has been commonly used as an epigenetic surrogate of fetuses. Here, we propose umbilical cord tissue (UC) as an alternative surrogate for epigenetic studies on fetuses. To explore the feasibility to examine UC epigenome by deep sequencing, we determined CpG methylation profiles of human postnatal UC by reduced representation bisulfite sequencing. We compared DNA methylomes between UC and CB. To investigate the effect of folate during pregnancy on fetal DNA methylation, we compared fetal UC DNA methylation between low and high levels of maternal plasma folate. Our study suggests that UC is useful as an alternative surrogate for studying environmental effects on DNA methylation in human fetuses, compensating CB by providing additional information about epigenetic regulation of genes.

• Single cell transcriptomics to characterize the tumor microenvironment of prostate cancer fusion biopsies

  The primary objective of this study was to characterize the tumor microenvironment in fusion-guided transperineal biopsy samples from patients undergoing PC diagnosis. For each patient, one biopsy was taken from a suspected tumor region and another from a non-suspicious area, which were later classified as high- or low-tumorigenicity based on anatomopathological analysis. Using scRNA-seq data, we performed cancer-oriented cell annotation, differential expression analysis, and functional pathway enrichment studies across key cellular subpopulations. Additionally, differential abundance analysis was conducted to identify cell groups representative of different tumorigenicity levels. Finally, classification models were developed using gene expression data to differentiate high- vs. low-tumorigenicity samples, with the long-term goal of establishing a diagnostic classifier for PC stratification.

• Molecular characterization of NASH-HCC

  We collected 80 NASH-HCCs formalin fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples from 5 different institutions. NASH was diagnosed in FFPE samples by at least two expert pathologists following a described histological algorithm (Bedossa et al., Hepatology, 2012). All NASH patients included in the study were HBV- and HCV-negative. Patients reporting alcohol consumption ≥ 20 g/day for women and 30 g/day for men, as well as patients with a known liver disease superimposed to NASH were excluded. Tumour and paired non-tumour gDNA of NASH-HCC FFPE samples was submitted to Whole Exome Sequencing (WES). Exome capture and sequencing library preparation were performed using the SureSelect Human All Exon V5, no UTR hybridization capture kit from Agilent (Target Size 50 Mb). Libraries were sequenced on an Illumina HiSeq 4000 instrument with 100-bp paired-end reads.

Different patterns of somatic mutation are generated by the different environmental, lifestyle and genetic factors that cause cancer, many of them are still unknown. Within Mutographs, the International Agency for Research on Cancer is coordinating the recruitment of 5000 individuals with cancer (colorectal, renal, pancreatic, oesophageal adenocarcinoma or oesophageal squamous cancers) across 5 continents to explore whether different mutational signatures explain marked variation in incidence. In brief, through an international network of collaborators around the world, biological materials are collected, along with demographic, histological, clinical and questionnaire data. Whole genome sequences of tumour-germline DNA pairs are generated at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute. Somatic mutational signatures are subsequently extracted by non-negative matrix factorisation methods and correlated with risk factors data. • Using genetics to identify cell types and mechanisms underlying susceptibility to primary sclerosing cholangitis

  Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) is a T-cell mediated, chronic inflammatory condition of the biliary tree that is strongly associated with inflammatory bowel disease. Genome-wide association studies have identified 22 non-HLA genetic risk variants associated PSC. Identifying the genes impacted by these variants has proven difficult as the majority lie in non-coding regions of the genome. Knowledge of the genes and biological pathways these non-coding variants are perturbing is vital to understanding the disease biology. One means of assessing the impact of non-coding variants within disease associated loci upon genes is via colocalisation with eQTL. Many eQTL are cell-type specific, requiring the analysis of disease relevant cell types to detect colocalisation. We have collected PSC-relevant T-cell-subtypes from the peripheral blood of PSC patients via fluorescence activated cell sorting in preparation for RNA sequencing and mapping of eQTL. Samples were collected at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hopital, for which local ethical approval has been granted. Lysed cell samples will be transferred to WTSI and DNA/RNA will be extracted from lysed cell samples by T143 before genotyping (DNA) and custom library preparation and sequencing (RNA). • Whole transcriptome RNA sequencing on bone marrow and peripheral blood samples from patients with acute myeloid leukemia at diagnosis or relapse.

  One hundred cryopreserved bone marrow and peripheral blood samples from patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with 10-90% blasts were selected from the biobank of the Department of Hematology of Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC). The AML cases cover all subtypes, and specifically include known subtype-defining balanced chromosomal translocations according to the WHO classification. The samples were obtained from 96 patients and include three pairs of de novo and relapsed AML and one pair of de novo and presumed therapy-related AML (tAML). Total RNA was isolated from mononuclear cells without prior enrichment for leukemic blasts. The quality and integrity of total RNA was checked and RNA libraries were prepared using the TruSeq RNA library preparation kit v2 (Illumina, San Diego, CA) in an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited protocol. This workflow started with enrichment of messenger RNA by oligo dT magnetic beads. After fragmentation, cDNA synthesis was performed, followed by adaptor ligation and PCR amplification. Paired-end sequencing with a read length of 126 bp was performed on an Illumina HiSeq 2500 v4 sequencer to at least 12.5 Gbp per sample. Image analysis, base calling, and quality check was performed with Illumina data analysis pipeline RTA v1.18.64 and Bcl2fastq v1.8.4. RNAseq reads are provided in compressed Sanger FASTQ format.

  Gastroschisis (MIM 230750) is a herniation of the intestines through a defect of the abdominal wall lateral to the umbilicus (usually on the right side), and it is not covered by a membrane [Ledbetter, 2012]. Gastroschisis is a congenital anomaly with increasing incidence, easy prenatal diagnosis and extremely variable postnatal outcomes. On the basis of clinical manifestations, epidemiologic charateristics, and the presence and type of additional malformations, gastroschisis could be considered a heterogeneous condition with no gene/s discovered yet. This congenital anomaly affects approximately 1-3 infancts per 10,000 live births [Calzolari et al.1995;Parker et al.,2010] Current knowledge about causative mutations/variants. To date, no single gene has been linked to gastroschisis. Some publications have tried to link this malformation to variants in genes (such as AEBP1 (adipocyte enhancer binding protein) gene [Feldkamp et al,. 2012] or the VEGF-NOS3 pathway [Lammer et al., 2008]. Previously, a Scribble mutant mouse model (circletail) was reported to exhibit gastroschisis, however recent studies demonstrated that the Scribble knockout fetus exhibits exomphalos phenotype of gastroschisis [Carnagham et al., 2013].   By investigating an intergenic haplotype on chr21q22, independently linked to inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), ankylosing spondylitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis and Takayasu’s arteritis, we discover that the causal gene, ETS2, is a master regulator of inflammatory responses in human macrophages and delineate how the risk haplotype increases ETS2 expression. Using a database of cellular signatures, we identified drugs that could modulate this pathway. To validate the anti-inflammatory activity of one class of small molecules ex vivo, we obtained biopsies from patients with active IBD and cultured these biopsies with a selective, non-ATP competitive MEK inhibitor (PD-0325901), infliximab (positive control), or DMSO (vehicle control) for 18 hours, then performed RNA sequencing.

  In this study, we generated comprehensive single-cell multi-omic datasets from bone marrow samples collected from 13 donors spanning a wide age range. We applied the scTAMseq protocol to profile DNA methylation and nuclear mutations obtained from 7 total bone marrow aspirates (donors A.1-A.7) and 6 CD34+-enriched bone marrow samples ((donors B.1-B.5 & X.1). Complementary surface marker expression data were acquired by integrating CITE-seq into the scTAMseq workflow (scTAMseq_prot). Targeted RNA sequencing (scTAMARA_rna) was performed alongside scTAMARA_DNA on one CD34+-enriched sample (X.1). Additionally, a dedicated mitochondrial panel (TAMITO_seq) was employed on a peripheral blood sample from a healthy donor (X.2) to assess mitochondrial heterogeneity and facilitate lineage tracing.

• Genetics of Lipid Lowering Drugs and Diet Network (GOLDN) Lipidomics Study

  The GOLDN study was initiated to assess how genetic factors interact with environmental (diet and drug) interventions to influence blood levels of triglycerides and other atherogenic lipid species and inflammation markers (registered at clinicaltrails.gov, number NCT00083369). The study recruited Caucasian participants primarily from three-generational pedigrees from two NHLBI Family Heart Study (FHS) field centers (Minneapolis, MN and Salt Lake City, UT). Only families with at least two siblings were recruited and only participants who did not take lipid-lowering agents (pharmaceuticals or nutraceuticals) for at least 4 weeks prior to the initial visit were included. A total of 1048 GOLDN participants were included in the diet intervention. The diet intervention followed the protocol of Patsch et al. (1992). The whipping cream (83% fat) meal had 700 Calories/m2 body surface area (2.93 MJ/m2 body surface area): 3% of calories were derived from protein (instant nonfat dry milk) and 14% from carbohydrate (sugar). The ratio of polyunsaturated to saturated fat was 0.06 and the cholesterol content of the average meal was 240 mg. The mixture was blended with ice and flavorings. Blood samples were drawn immediately before (fasting) and at 3.5 and 6 hours after consuming the high-fat meal. For the GOLDN lipidomics study, sterols and fatty acids were measured from stored plasma (-80 degrees Celsius) collected at fasting and 3.5 hours after the diet intervention using TrueMass Panels from Lipomics (West Sacramento, CA). A total of 11 sterols were quantified in nmols/gram of sample including total cholesterol, 7-dehydrocholesterol, desmosterol, lanosterol, lathasterol, cholestanol, coprostanol, beta-sitosterol, campesterol, stigmasterol, and 7alpha-hydroxycholesterol. • Birth Defects: Moebius Syndrome and Related Congenital Facial Weakness Disorders

  It is estimated that about 1 in every 33 infants in the United States is born with a birth defect. Among these, the subset of birth defect syndromes associated with facial weakness and lack of facial expression can have profound implications for social interactions and psychosocial development. Moebius syndrome is defined by congenital and non-progressive facial weakness and limited eye abduction, and most cases are believed to result from dysfunction of cranial nuclei/nerves VI and VII. Although rare, this syndrome causes significant impairment because of facial weakness and associated intellectual disabilities, autism, hearing loss, difficulty swallowing and breathing, peripheral neuropathy, muscle hypotonia, heart defects, chest wall abnormalities, and limb malformations. The phenotypic spectrum and the associated genetic and environmental factors underlying Moebius syndrome are poorly understood. The goal of this research is to identify causative gene mutations for Moebius syndrome and related conditions, such as Moebius-Poland or -Robin sequence, hereditary congenital facial paresis (HCFP), and oculoauriculovertebral dysplasia (Goldenhar syndrome). This proposal builds on an ongoing collaboration among researchers at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Boston Children's Hospital, NHGRI intramural program, and the Moebius Syndrome Foundation, but aims to greatly extend that work by collaboration with investigators in the NIH Clinical Center (CC). Our groups have already defined a new autosomal dominant syndrome with Moebius syndrome, Kallmann syndrome, cyclic vomiting resulting from a TUBB3 E410K substitution. We have also identified a new autosomal recessive Moebius-related syndrome with bilateral facial palsy, hearing loss, and strabismus resulting from a HOXB1 R207C substitution. Through collaborative efforts of these extramural teams with intramural investigators, whole exome sequencing (WES) has been conducted for four families with Moebius-like features, and data analyses are ongoing. The overall goal of this new grant application will be to conduct extensive phenotype analysis on approximately 24 families per year with Moebius and other undefined syndromes with facial weakness. Studies to be conducted at the CC include neurology, psychiatry, neurocognitive, rehabilitation medicine (muscle strength, speech/language pathology), ophthalmology, audiology, and genetics evaluations; autism screening; electromyography, nerve conduction, and blink reflex studies; videoscopy of quantitative eye movement recordings; 3D-CT craniofacial imaging; MRI of the brain, orbit, internal auditory canals, posterior fossa including brain diffusion tensor imaging for tractography; and genetic counseling. Jointly with the extramural teams, WES analysis and variant confirmation will be performed. A more comprehensive definition of the phenotypic and genotypic spectrum of these birth defects will have a significant impact on our understanding of the molecular pathways underlying dysmorphologies, cranial nerve development, and more common childhood disorders such as autism. Thus, this project will lead to strategies for prevention and treatment of birth defects.

  CHD is the leading cause of death in the United States. One of the most common ways to prevent CHD is to take an anti-platelet agent, which lessens platelet aggregation. Two of the most common anti-platelet agents are aspirin and clopidogrel. However, up to 25% to 30% of people do not respond to these medications. Evidence indicates that treatment response may be related to genetics. The purpose of this study is to determine specific gene variants that predict response to aspirin and clopidogrel therapy. This study is part of a larger group of studies called the Pharmacogenomics Research Network (PGRN). Participants are from the Old Order Amish of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. They are well suited for genetic studies because they are a homogenous, closed, founder population. Participants received 300 mg of clopidogrel on the first day, then 75 mg of clopidogrel per day for the next 6 days. On the last day of clopidogrel treatment, participants took a single dose of 324 mg aspirin. Participants underwent platelet function tests before and after clopidogrel alone, and then again after taking clopidogrel plus aspirin. Using the gene variation profiles across the genome, researchers analyzed which variants correspond to treatment response.

  The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has sponsored a consortium of investigators to conduct a clinical treatment trial, Treatment Options for type 2 Diabetes in Adolescents and Youth (TODAY). The primary objective of the TODAY trial is to compare the efficacy of three treatment arms on time to treatment failure based on glycemic control. The secondary aims are to:compare and evaluate the safety of the three treatment arms;compare the effects of the three treatments on the pathophysiology of type 2 diabetes (T2D) with regards to beta cell function and insulin resistance, body composition, nutrition, physical activity and aerobic fitness, cardiovascular risk factors, microvascular complications, quality of life, and psychological outcomes;evaluate the influence of individual and family behaviors on treatment response; andcompare the relative cost effectiveness of the three treatment arms.The three treatment regimens are: (1) metformin alone, (2) metformin plus rosiglitazone, and (3) metformin plus an intensive lifestyle intervention called the TODAY Lifestyle Program (TLP). • Profiling RNA Translation in Pediatric Medulloblastoma

  This study provides RNA-sequencing and ribosome profiling data for patient-derived cell lines and patient tissue samples for children with medulloblastoma. Ribosome profiling is a variant protocol of RNA-sequencing that directly sequences ribosome-bound RNA fragments only. Associated RNA-seq and Ribo-seq data obtained separately for some cancer cell lines can be found on the NCBI SRA as PRJNA957428. Samples were processed for poly-A mRNA sequencing using the Roche Kapa Kit. Ribosome profiling was performed as described in the manuscript referenced below (Hofman et al.) and based on the article by McGlincy et al., Methods (2017). Ribo-seq data were analyzed for sample quality using RiboseQC (Calviello, Nat Struct Mol Biol, 2020). These data were used to quantify P-sites of open reading frames. RNAseq and ribo-seq data were integrated and compared to determine translational efficiency values using TPM (Ribo-seq) over TPM (RNA-seq) as the metric. Ribo-seq data on 14 samples and RNAseq data on 21 samples derived from 16 fresh-frozen surgical samples for medulloblastoma and 5 autopsy samples are available through dbGaP.   This dataset contains 10 tumor and normal pairs synthetic WGS data of colorectal cancer that were simulated in a standard format of Illumina paired-end reads. The NEAT read simulator (version 3.0, https://github.com/zstephens/neat-genreads) was utilized to synthetize these 10 pairs of tumor and normal WGS data. In the procedure of data generation, simulated parameters (i.e., sequencing error statistics, read fragment length distribution and GC% coverage bias) were learned from data models provided by NEAT. The average sequencing depth for tumor and normal samples aimed to reach around 110X and 60X, respectively. For generation of synthetic normal WGS data per each sample, a germline variant profile from a real patient was down-sampled randomly, representing 50% germline variants of a given patient. These were mixed with the other 50% in silico germline variants that were modelled randomly using an average mutation rate (0.001), finally constituting a full germline profile for normal synthetic WGS data. For generation of synthetic tumor WGS data per each sample, a pre-defined somatic short variant profile (SNVs+Indels) learnt from a real CRC patient was added to the germline variant profile used for creating the normal synthetic WGS data of the same patient, consisting of the variants for tumor sample. Neither copy number profile nor structural variation profile was introduced into the tumor synthetic WGS data. Tumor content and ploidy were assumed to be 100% and 2, respectively.   In childhood leukemia, a better genetic characterization is needed to define new clinic-biological entities, refine the risk-stratification of patients and help to reduce the toxicity by applying a risk-directed therapy. This project aims to obtain information that will allow us to personalize the management of pediatric patients with leukemia as much as possible, so that we can offer a complete diagnosis, a sensitive follow-up and a more targeted treatment to the real risk of each case. The use of massive genome analysis technologies such as transcriptome sequencing (RNA-Sequencing) will allow a comprehensive biological characterization of pediatric leukemia patients, especially those cases that we have not been able to characterize by conventional diagnostic techniques. We believe that the RNA-Seq technique will allow us to identify new biomarkers that will be useful for: 1) defining new biological entities with their own clinical behavior; 2) refining the stratification of patients into risk groups; 3) finding targets for a better follow-up of MRD and 4) identifying therapeutic targets for the application of targeted therapies to reduce toxicity.   This dataset contains raw sequencing files associated with the paper "Neutrophils and emergency granulopoiesis drive immune suppression and an extreme response endotype during sepsis" (https://doi.org/10.1038/s41590-023-01490-5). It is composed of two experiments, which are as follows: 1. Single-cell profiling of whole blood leukocytes: This experiment comprises sequencing files generated using the BD Rhapsody single-cell multi-omics profiling (RNA + protein) platform. This platform was used to profile the whole blood leukocyte population in a cohort of sepsis patients, cardiac surgery controls and healthy controls. There are 48 samples and four files per sample: two paired-end FASTQ files (R1 and R2) corresponding to the RNA-seq library, and two paired-end FASTQ files (R1 and R2) corresponding to the protein profiling (ADT-based AbSeq) library. 2. Single-cell profiling of circulating HSPCs: This experiment comprises sequencing files generated using the 10X single-cell multi-omics (RNA-seq + ATAC-seq) profiling platform. This platform was used to profile circulating HSPCs in a cohort of sepsis patients and healthy controls. There are 5 samples (or plexes), each of which consists of a pool of individuals for whom cells were multiplexed and sequenced as a single sample. There are four files per sample: two paired-end FASTQ files (R1 and R2) corresponding to the RNA-seq library, and two paired-end FASTQ files (R1 and R2) corresponding to the ATAC-seq library. • Integrative Multi-Omics and Drug Sensitivity Profiling Reveals Potential Predictive Biomarkers in Pediatric Solid Tumors from the INFORM Registry

  Cure rates for childhood malignancies using established therapy protocols have increased to an average of 80% but have reached a plateau. Moreover, survival rates are particularly low for some pediatric tumors (such as high-risk Group3 medulloblastomas, osteosarcomas, Ewing sarcomas, high-risk neuroblastomas and high-grade gliomas) and dismal for patients with relapsed malignancies. A functional drug response profiling platform for pediatric solid and brain tumors has been established within the INFORM program to identify patient-specific vulnerabilities, biomarkers and unravel molecular mechanisms associated with drug response profiles for clinical translation. Here, we perform a multi-omics analysis using drug sensitivity profiles, genomic, and transcriptomic data of 81 pediatric solid tumor samples. The integrative analysis revealed two multi-omics signatures with high drug sensitivity predictivity. One signature highlighted neuroblastoma samples with sensitivity to navitoclax (a BCL-2 family inhibitor). A second signature was significantly specific to a subset of Wilms tumors harboring the SIX1 (Q177R) hotspot mutation, which had high expression of MGAM, PTPN14, STAT4 and KDM2B and high sensitivity to MEK inhibitors. A patient-specific causal interaction network analysis elucidated the potential biological mechanism of action between MEK inhibitors and the SIX1 mutation in n = 6 Wilms tumor samples.

• Heart Failure: A Controlled Trial Investigating Outcomes of Exercise Training (HF-ACTION-BioLINCC)

The data from this accession is not available for download through dbGaP.ObjectivesThe HF-ACTION study examined whether exercise training reduces a composite endpoint of all-cause mortality or all-cause hospitalization for patients with left ventricular systolic dysfunction and heart failure symptoms. Background Heart failure (HF) is a major and growing cardiovascular syndrome that is the end result of many cardiovascular disorders. Although evidence-based drug and device therapies decrease mortality, hospitalizations, and HF symptoms and improve quality of life, many patients treated with these regimens often remain burdened by dyspnea and fatigue, diminished exercise tolerance, reduced quality of life, recurrent hospitalizations, and early mortality. Whereas rest was traditionally recommended for HF patients, there has been evidence that physical deconditioning may play a key role in the progression of symptoms and poor outcomes. Previous studies have shown positive effects of exercise training on exercise capacity, quality of life, and biomarkers and suggest that exercise training might improve survival and decrease HF hospitalizations. Nonetheless, there remains a safety concern regarding exercise training in HF and a large scale, multicenter, controlled clinical trial was needed to provide definitive clinical outcome data. Participants A total of 2,331 participants were randomized. 2,130 consented to share data with non-commercial entities, and 1,753 consented to share for commercial purposes. Design All participants underwent baseline cardiopulmonary exercise testing. Test results were reviewed by investigators to identify significant arrhythmias or ischemia that would prevent safe exercise training, to determine appropriate levels of exercise training, and to establish training heart rate ranges. Demographics, socioeconomic status, past medical history, current medications, physical exam, and the most recent laboratory tests were obtained prior to randomization. All participants received detailed self-management educational materials which included information on medications, fluid management, symptom exacerbation, sodium intake, and physical activity. Participants randomized to the exercise training arm first participated in a structured, group-based, supervised exercise program, with a goal of 3 sessions per week for a total of 36 sessions in 3 months. The primary exercises were walking, treadmill, or stationary cycling. Exercise was initiated at 15 to 30 minutes per session at a heart rate corresponding to 60% of heart rate reserve, and was increased after 6 sessions to 30 to 35 minutes duration and 70% of heart rate reserve. Participants began home-based exercise after completing 18 supervised sessions and were to fully transition to home exercise after 36 supervised sessions. The target training regimen for home exercise was 5 times per week for 40 minutes at a heart rate of 60% to 70% of heart rate reserve. Participants randomized to the usual care group were not provided with a formal exercise prescription. To provide comparable levels of attention from study personnel, all participants were called every 2 weeks for the first 9 months, monthly until 24 months of follow-up, and quarterly thereafter. Participants returned for clinic visits every 3 months for the first 2 years of participation and yearly thereafter for up to 4 years. Follow-up assessments included cardiopulmonary exercise testing, a 6-minute walk test, and a physical activity questionnaire. The primary end point was a composite of all-cause mortality or all-cause hospitalization. Secondary end points included all-cause mortality, the composite of cardiovascular mortality or cardiovascular hospitalization, and the composite of cardiovascular mortality or HF hospitalization. Conclusions After adjustment for highly prognostic predictors of the primary end point, exercise training was associated with modestly significant reductions for both all-cause mortality or hospitalization and cardiovascular mortality or heart failure hospitalization.
